My Lucky Mojo is an organisation that creates theatrical productions, films and arts education projects.
Fleur Howle has over 25 years experience working as a writer, director, producer and artist in theatre, film, gaming and literature. During this time she's run her own edutainment gaming company called Gaming Shakespeare, staged seven solo art exhibitions, put on five original plays and lots more.
The work involves a multi-racial cast and crew believing diversity is at the core of the work and tackles difficult subjects in an entertaining way. This includes climate change, bullying, sexual harassment in the work place, FGM, religion and how to teach Shakespeare.
Current work includes creating an Opera based on The Book of Job, touring a new play with #TooOld later this year and devising an ensemble story about the devastating epidemic of Foot and Mouth disease, in 2001, set in bucolic England.
My Lucky Mojo presents a dark comedy entitled #TooOld written, directed and produced by Fleur Howle opening at The Old Red Lion, Islington on the 9th, 10th and 11th February 2020.
The play is performed by Ros Philip, Christopher Kouros and Ben Perl bringing to life zeitgeist themes such as #MeToo.
#TooOld is a dark comedy about a 40 something single woman, Yasmin, who is trying her hand at Internet dating whilst working in film and skippering Yachts.
Witty and full of adventure, she’s shocked by middle aged men's attitude towards sex, and shares her experiences with her bestie, Jean-Luc, an International gay French banker.
What begins as fun, due to the shear variety of dates, becomes increasingly frightening whilst being bullied and sexually harassed at work.
The play is touring around London and is supporting a program to provide resources for people who’ve experienced bullying or harassment at work.
We are pleased to say the production of #TooOld was a success with a sell-out and a very entertained audience.
After COVID-19, when COVID-19 has left our beautiful planet, we wish to stage #TooOld as a double bill with a new play performed by My Lucky Mojo. I think we'll all be needing a laugh.
